United StatesBest Damn Ditch Lights Ever!
I use the “spreader” lights to use as ditch lights because of the wide throw they offer. Considerably wider throw than a typical flood light. Thought I would try them. I LOVE THEM!!! Ditch lights are not trying to illuminate one “thing” but an area… they work perfectly for this purpose. Bonus is that everyone asks about them because they look so much different (the wide reflector) than anything else. I tell them they are the best damn ditch lights I have ever seen used…. So… On a night run and it is raining, we wind up through some rocks and a couple guys can not make it up the obstacle. I have to back back down over a bunch of rocks to allow them to get out of the way. I do not have good lighting and it is a pain in the dark (I was tail gunner so no lights behind me)… Next day I ordered three more of these “spreader” lights for the back. Man I can light up the world…. In my attached picture this area was dark…. With the lights off you could only see a dark silhouette of the vehicle… To look at the pic… It does not look like it was a dark area at all, and no I do not have the light bar on. The “spreaders” low beam head lights and rock lights… that is it.

The first time I turned on my lights I was amazed, they are so bright. They light up the shore from hundreds of feet away. I primarily use the lights for scouting beach landings for night fishing. The rear lighting covers the entire area of my stern for fishing off the back of the boat. Great products, well built, and epic brightness. Thank you for products, they have changed the way I fish.

I've always tested the unconventional. I have used several different top brands of offroad LED lighting. I have no plans on using anything less than Blackoak from here-on out. Having said that; I was intrigued by the size, and low profile design of the 4" "spreader" series. I believe they are geared more towards boating. I decided to give them a shot. Went with a set of 4 inch "Scene" spreader, and a set of "Flood" spreader pods. I wanted to see how the "Scene" spreders would work as Ditch/Scene lights, and let me say; they are impressively Bright. The 120° spread pattern is a great option for ditch/Scene lightning! The "Flood" pattern are are a great supplement to the high beams. With fog lights, low beams, and the "Flood spread" I feel confident driving to work in the early hours before sun rise in northern TN/southern KY with deer being very common. These along with a set of 10w pods, or a light bar would be an excellent lightning setup for anything one can ask for.

I Just installed my new Black Oak LED light on my 36 Cape Horn. The brightness is intense. Alot brighter than I expected from a small light. Great for leaving dock in the dark. I would definitely recommend.

I put two 4" spreader lights on my new 2024 Ski-Doo MXZ XRS 850 Etec snowmobile. These make night riding a heck of a lot brighter! This was around the Marquette, MI area in the Upper Peninsula of MI. In the background of the day pictures is Lake Superior.
