I love how bright it is. I put this on my boat so that I could see the markers at night and to spot lobsters when bully netting. It is super bright for it's small size. My son and I enjoy fishing at night at when at our lake house The only issueIs that we do have a good number of stumps that sit just below the water level. Although I have many of them marked on my chart plotter, I still have to be extremely careful. A couple months ago I bought two 2” flood lights for my boat and mounted them on the front. I got them in white to match my boat and with that fantastic ceramic coating they look great. What a difference these puppies make! Not only can we see down into the water, they light up a good 75 yards ahead of the boat. They also attract the bait fish which then attracts the white, hybrid and striped bass. We can go dock to dock at night or run in the open lake much more safely than in the past. This give me more time to spend good quality time with my family and friends. All of them comment on how bright they are and how good they look on the boat. Those lights are the second purchase from Black Oak, my first was a 10” infrared spot/flood. I work in private security and use this for some of my “covert” surveillance when things go dark. It allows me to see with night vision when others can’t. That “light” give me identifiable objects at over 100 yards and helps give me edge in security. Based on the quality of that light, I knew that Black Oak was the way to go for my boat.

As a trapper attempting to stem the tide of invasive nutria eradicating the marsh lands of south la , I tried multiple different brands and set ups for lights and was never satisfied with the results , till I ordered my first black oak cube , I was blown away by how bright and easy to set up on multiple vehicles the light was, I immediately ordered two more and set them up on posts on the front of my boat and now use them for every out door adventure , alligator hunting ,bow fishing, navigation, jugging ,basically anything outdoors I will have a black oak light mounted
