Fit, mounting and wiring for 4 inch lights

Everything buyers ask us before ordering a 4 inch light, answered with the real measurements from our drawings and the numbers from our spec sheets. The short version: pick the double row for a compact bar, the pod for the most output in the smallest footprint, or a spreader for lighting up a deck.

Will it fit?

Measure the flat space where the light will sit. The 4 inch double row needs 6 in. bracket to bracket and 4-1/8 in. of height. The pod is 4-7/8 in. wide and 5-1/8 in. tall on its bracket. Bracket mount spreaders are 5 in. wide; flush mount spreaders need a 5-1/16 x 2-3/16 in. cutout under a 6-7/16 in. flange.

How it mounts

Double row bars and pods bolt down with the stainless brackets in the box, and the bracket pivots so you can aim the beam after it is mounted. Flush mount spreaders drop into a cutout and fasten through the flange. For tubes and rails, add a universal clamp bracket.

Ditch lights and A-pillarsA pair of 4 inch double rows or pods at the base of the windshield lights the edges of the trail.
Bumper and fog positionsThe double row fits compact bumper openings at 6 in. wide with brackets.
Reverse, rack and rock lightsMount on the rear bumper, a rack or under the body for backing up and work light.
Boat T-top, hardtop or transomSpreaders throw a 120° scene beam across the deck. Bracket mount on a T-top, or flush mount into a hardtop or transom.

What's in the box

Double row bars and pods come ready to wire. Spreaders ship with a pigtail, so you supply the switch and fused wire.

Wiring diagram

The double row harness is plug-and-play: connect the red lead to the battery positive, the black to the negative, run the switch into the cab and plug the bar into the Deutsch connector. The relay keeps the full load off your switch.

Pods and spreadersThe 4 inch pod includes a harness and calls for a 15A fuse. Spreaders have a 16 in. pigtail with a 2-pin Deutsch connector and no harness; wire them through your own switch with a 5A fuse.
Factory upfitter switchesWiring into a Ford, Ram or GM upfitter switch? Skip our relay and connect directly; the upfitter circuit already has one.
Keep it watertightUse heat-shrink butt connectors or solder sleeves on any splice. The Deutsch connector can be cut off if you need a custom run.

Brightness & beam

Figures are from each product's spec table. The double row uses 5W Osram LEDs with a 15° spot or 45° flood; the pod uses 10W Osram LEDs in a combo beam; spreaders use Cree LEDs behind 120° scene optics for even deck light. 6,000K color temperature, rated for 50,000 hours.

5W LED build on the double row, 10W LEDs on the pod. Every light: IP69K sealed, 6,000K, 50,000-hour rated life, Lifetime Limited Warranty. Pods and spreaders run on 10-30V DC; the double row on 12-30V DC.
