Can-Am Defender

Collection: Can-Am Defender

A Can Am Defender light bar or pod setup starts with where the Defender gives you room to mount: the front bumper, the A-pillars, the roof edge and the bed. This page collects the pods and kits that fit those spots. The 2 inch pod pair in spot or flood is the A-pillar and bumper staple, the diffused pair and flush mount pair work as reverse and bed lights, the yellow fog pair cuts dust and fog, the DTR SAE pods are street legal fog and driving beams for road registered rigs, the Low Pro spreader lights the cab and bed from the roof, and the RGB rock light kit covers the wheel wells and underbody. Everything is Pro Series 3.0, IP69K sealed, designed and engineered in Sarasota, Florida, with harness and hardware in the box.

Build it in layers. Forward light first: a spot pod pair on the A-pillars or a bumper bar from the LED light bar hub (20 and 30 inch bars are the usual Defender sizes). Then work light: a diffused or flush mount pair facing rearward for backing up and loading. Then trail and camp light: a spreader for the bed and rock lights for the wheel wells. If the Defender sees pavement, the DTR SAE pods keep you legal. For brackets and bars by model, see the UTV light bar hub.

What size light bar fits a Can Am Defender?

Most Defender owners run a 20 or 30 inch bar on the front bumper or roof edge and 2 inch pods on the A-pillars. Measure your mounting spot, then pick the bar from the LED light bar hub.

Spot, flood or diffused for the A-pillars?

Spot for distance on open trails, flood for wide close coverage in woods and tight trails. Diffused is for reverse and work light, not forward driving.

Do the kits include wiring?

Yes. Pod pairs come with a harness, relay, switch and mounting hardware, and the RGB rock light kit is pre wired with a Bluetooth controller.

Are any of these street legal?

The DTR Series SAE pods are the street legal fog and driving beam option. Off road pods and bars are for trail use.
