My first impression of the Black Oak light bar was how stress-free it was to install on my Polaris Ranger. After the instillation was complete, I was astonished at how much light the 10” light bar gave off. I primarily planned to utilize the light bar to supplement the headlights on my Ranger when I’m out ice fishing. The Black Oak light enables me to see potentially dangerous situations like large snow drifts, ice heaves, or open water.
This winter, my friend and I left a bag of expensive fishing gear on a lake we had only fished once. We discovered the missing gear after it was already dark. We were socked in by fog and there was a new moon so it was pitch black outside. I decided to take the Ranger to get the gear because I knew I had a great light bar. The Black Oak light bar helped successfully locate the gear from a distance of about 250 yards away. The excursion was like trying to find a small brown needle in an all-white haystack.
