Okay, so 1st impression was holy **** I’m going to need to be careful with this big fella. I use it to help with my old eyes while rolling down the freeways heading to motocross events with our grandson.

A few weeks ago I ran into a deer, at about 30mph, broadside! My bumper got pushed in, grille broke, headlights got "readjusted" downward, and my Black Oak light bar was shooting skyward. The mechanics of the truck were not harmed though, so the trip was still a go! The light bar was still working too, so I grabbed it on each end and twisted it back into position. When I did, the bumper popped back into place and it's hard to tell anything happened! But, the body shop estimated $3600 worth of damage. Since then, I've had time to look into the damage further and what I believe happened was that the light bar absorbed the bulk of the impact. It held up and saved my truck and my trip! Take a look at the picture and you'll notice the light bar is a little off center. That's from the mounting brackets getting bent. These things are built USA STRONG! You know it right away when you take them out of the box! You can feel just how solid they are. Are they worth it? Heck yeah! Although I hit this deer, these light bars have saved me from smashing into many others. I keep a count and this bar has about 8 saves. The others together have saved me from hitting 22 deer over the past 3 years, and the count continues to rise. There's different methods to avoid hitting animals but, the one that you can count on, every time, is a good offense. That means being able to see them and react before it's too late, which is why I originally bought my first light bar. The time, money, and downtime I've saved is worth SO much more than these lights cost. Any doubts you have will be blown away the first time you switch one on and the whole world lights up in front of you! The first time I did I thought to myself, "Yup! That's going to do JUST what I need it to do!" as a big smile crossed my face! After smacking that deer I have a whole new level of respect for the quality and durability of these light bars. I don't think they were made to be push bars but, mine acted like one that day! lol! Additionally, the customer service I've received during each one of my purchases has been uncommon! It's a rare thing to get a message or a call from the owner of a business to make sure your order is just what you wanted and that's what I've gotten, every time. The fact that these are made in the USA only adds to the list of benefits these light bars have. Thank you for making such a great product, saving my truck from more damage, and saving me so much time, money, and frustration dealing with insurance claims and banged up cars and trucks!

I use the light for traveling through canada and alaska. Definitely has saved me from hitting large wildlife serveral times What i like when i first turned the light on was how it spreads the light over a large area. Definitely dont have a problem seeing when its pitch dark.
